Skin is
composed of different interfering layers where the
external layers, called stratum corneum, is composed of
dead cells containing keratin. This layer protect the
skin from the external climatic physical hazards. This
layer is drier than the layers underneath. The decrease
of moisture in the underneath layers gives rise to the
appearance of skin wrinkles and the reduction of
moisture in the external layer which becomes dry and
characterized by dandruffs. A researcher has shown that
the external skin layer rests soft fresh and cohesive if
its moisture content is more than 10 %. If moisture
decreases than that level the skin becomes hard and
wrinkled. Exposure to climatic conditions as sun, winds
and other factors alongside with the moisture decrease
in the edema layer leads to the loss of skin flexibility
and coordination as well as its structure through the
breakdown of peptide called elastin causing early
wrinkles.
Fatty acids and most proteins secreted outside the human
body cells are essential fiber compounds in the
connective tissues. Microscopic examination of these
acids in the connective tissues shows their
precipitation in the form of big fibrous bundles
regularly distributed . The deficiency of these fatty
acids will thus give rise to wrinkles.

Mode of action
Bio 5 is a natural preparation from fatty acids which
when added to the skin the penetrate it through the
first 12 layers (stratum corneum) at higher rate than
the other equimolecular compounds. So, application of
Bio 5 improves the penetration of skin enhancing its
hydrated appearance and smoothness. Bio 5 contains also
linoleic acid (an essential fatty acid) which
efficiently reduces water loss from the skin surface
when applied for several days. It also enhance the
action of the skin elastin which is responsible for the
skin flexibility and cell regeneration, thus imparting
the skin with hydration, softness and smoothness.
Margaric acid which is another constituent of Bio 5
activates the mechanism of collage and at the same time
enhances the spoilage resulting from UV rays.
Petroselinic protects the skin blood vessels and thus
conserve collagen against destruction. It also
compensate for the reduced level of ceramide in the skin
thus concealing the signs of age advance.
